Comprehensive Musical Theatre Camp
Ages 9-11 · June 21-July 9, 2010 · $395
SummerStarsBound is a three-week comprehensive Musical Theatre program for children experienced in acting. Taught by professional directors, the program encompasses many aspects of theatrical production, focusing on audition techniques, acting, singing, and dancing. This program concludes with performances of Aladdin Kids, a musical production staged and performed entirely by participants for family, friends, and the public. Rehearsals are Monday through Friday 9:30am-4:30pm, and shows run July 6-8, Tuesday at 10am, 1pm, and 7pm, and Wednesday and Thursday at 10am and 1pm.

Comprehensive Musical Theatre Camp for Teens Entering Grades 7-12
July 10-24, 2010
SummerStars is a two-week comprehensive residential and commuter program for gifted and talented teens. Taught by professional actors, directors, choreographers, and musicians, the program encompasses many aspects of theatrical production, focusing on acting, singing, and dancing. This program concludes with a full musical production of Zombie Prom, staged and performed entirely by participants for family, friends, and the public on the final Saturday. Mornings of the program find the students rotating among classes in acting styles, techniques, music, and movement. Afternoons are devoted to rehearsals, set building, costuming, and choreography. Amid all the daily activity, the students will find time to attend a professional production at one of the prestigious venues in the Fort Worth/Dallas area. The session opens and closes with a party. WORKSHOPS
Dance Intensive · June 21-25 · Ages 9-12 & 13-18 · 10am-1pm M-F · $120
One-week workshop. Jazz Technique, Ballet Technique, Stretch & Conditioning, Combinations and Contemporary Movement. The last day will include opening number for the Acting Showcase. Please bring a snack for a ten-minute break. Showcase on Friday will start at 5:30. Classes will be taught by Heather Simmons and Lauren Higgins. Students will rotate between the two teachers.
Please note that a minimum of 7 students is needed to provide this workshop.
Dance Explosion · July 29-30 · Ages 9-12 & 13-18 · $150 (includes lunch)
Two-day workshop. Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Stretch & Technique, Conditioning and How to Audition. 10am-5pm 30 minute lunch will be provided both days. Please bring your own beverage (preferably water) and a small snack. Each class will work on technique and be given a short combo. Teachers include Heather Simmons, Lauren Higgins, Tim Brown, Marlene Bigley, Erich de la Torre and Rachael Burns. Each class will be approximately 1½ hours long.
Please note that a minimum of 10 students is needed to provide this workshop.
- If your child has taken Heather’s TBJ and is still 8 during these workshops, they WILL be eligible to take part.
- When registering you will receive a schedule of the classes and times.

All 1-hr. classes are $10 each, and the 1½-hr. jazz class is $13.
